O Holy Night
Text by John Sullivan Dwight, music by Adolphe Charles Adam.
TTBB and piano.
I’m really pleased with the part-writing in this arrangement. The singers will probably enjoy each getting a turn on the melody and the fact that the famous high note in the third verse is a mere semitone higher than the other verses. Thanks to Doug Johnson for suggesting this arrangement, and to Penny Carswell for providing both a performance opportunity and a deadline. Nothing motivates better than a deadline.
